Stream
Signage Program
The
Bucks County Planning Commission is applying for the Pennsylvania Stream Signage
Program on behalf of the Pennridge Area Coordinating Committee (PACC). A
significant facet of the PWRP is to develop a public education and awareness
program.
With help from the Pennsylvania Organization for Watersheds and Rivers,
the Southeastern PA Resource Conservation and Development Council, and the
Department of Environmental Protection, the PACC intends to utilize the Stream
Signage Program to raise the public’s awareness, connect them to their
watersheds, and encourage them to protect their water resources.
The implementation of the public education and awareness program, coupled
with land use controls and growth management techniques, will ensure an adequate
and safe water supply for the Pennridge Area for many years to come.
